About

Hi, I'm Diana

As you can probably tell I love to help businesses and entrepreneurs create solid content strategies and share their messages in clear, effective, and genuine ways. But not just any kind of business, ones that are doing good for the world. Because that's what we need more of, and this is my humble way of being part of the solution.

Creative expression is the common thread that joins my life's pursuits.

I started off as an intern in photography media, moved to publishing for 5 years, marketing for wellness for 4 years, freelanced as a copywriter and content strategist for 1.5 years, and now work with two organizations - leadership development and environmental nonprofit - full time as a Marketing and Communications Director, taking on some freelance projects when my schedule allows.

All things content is my 10,000 hour skill, but you can't have good content if you lack brand identity. So I have also developed a thorough understanding of good brand strategy over the years, integrating concepts from holistic health and natural ecosystems to inform a holistic approach to business and marketing.

I'm researching successful brands and learning all I can about the subtleties of positive brand communication as well as systems thinking.

Personally speaking, I'm also passionate about wellness, photography, art and design, writing, spiritual growth, the science of happiness, and environmental sustainability. All these things feed my soul and allow me to connect with others on a deeper level. Oddly enough, they also help me have a good perspective in business.

A little history...

I was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, grew up in Riga, Latvia, and moved to Brooklyn when I was 7. It was a culture shock but I learned to adjust, and this experience shaped my lifelong love affair with communication

In May of 2015 I took a leap. I left my full-time job, friends, and home in the concrete jungle of NYC in order to move to beautiful western Massachusetts with my family.

See what I mean? Pure heaven.

I didn't know exactly what I would do for a living, or how my boys would adjust to this move, but my heart yearned for New England, for nature, and specifically trees. I love trees. Something deep in my soul told me this was the right move, the right time, and that love and happiness would sprout in this new place. And they have.

I wake up to the sound of birds and thank my lucky stars to live among such natural beauty, surrounded by kind and wonderful people.

All of my dreams have already come true, nothing left to do but share the love.

Credentials

You can see my LinkedIn profile for work experience and reach out if you're interested in learning more. I love collaborating and I'm always open to challenging myself in new ways. You can also see my blogging portfolio, although keep in mind much of my work is ghostwriting and private so this is merely a sample.

One of my most memorable roles was at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the place where I learned about both bioindividuality and creative marketing. The place where my career and personal life fused into a single fulfilling experience that lasted 4 years and still continues to resonate in my mind and body. I was a Content Manager on the marketing team there (while health coaching on the side at the time) and many of the skills I learned there helped me become really good at behind-the-scenes orchestration, something clients value greatly these days. I still work with IIN and am honored to support their mission to create a healthier, happier world.

Prior to that I worked in publishing at Penguin Group, also having stopped along the way in a creative team at a magazine and doing some freelance photography. The multi-faceted elements of communication have been my professional life from the very beginning.

Family

My family is the coolest group of people I know. My husband is a musician, music engineer, and the primary caretaker of our kids. Our boys, Elliot, 6, and Rhoan, 2, make life fun/fulfilling/awesome/crazy/exhausting/rewarding/hilarious. When I get too airy or Aquarian they always bring me down to earth.

Want to know more about me or connect about a project? I'm here for you, let's do it.
